Golf is a sport that is most fun in warm, sunny conditions. And where better to enjoy it than in the Spanish region whose name actually means “the hot coast”? Welcome to the Costa Cálida!
The Costa Cálida – or Murcia, as the region is also known – is a 25 km stretch of coast located south of the Costa Blanca. The average temperature is around 20 ºC all year round, and you can play golf under clear skies 316 days a year! And if that were not enough, the Costa Cálida is a strongly developing area, where the emphasis is very much on golf. If rumours are to be believed, there are plans to establish as many as 50 new courses over the coming years! The most popular course at the moment is without a doubt La Manga Club, which is located right on the coast.
Add to this the numerous new property developments, and it becomes clear that the Costa Cálida is gearing up to become one of the most popular areas for golf enthusiasts to settle in. New roads and other transport connections will also make it even easier to travel to the nearby cities and airports.
